2012 YMCA Hong Kong's Ranger Malaysia Exposure

Eco Exposure Trip in Malaysia with YMCA Ranger
Video Credits: YMCA of Kuala Lumpur

FROM 28th DEC 2012 TILL 3rd JAN 2013

A good chunk and bits of the past 7 days have been
extremely tired of hosting Team Green from Hong Kong
there was even a point where i felt tears pricking
my eyes an tried to hide it by pretending to yawn
then i realise that it was only my eyes' natural
reaction to my dry eyes till im in need to yawn as
i was being out late for almost 7 days straight.

this times' voluntary event was somehow different,
and from an invitation by a friend - HuiLei, who is
currently a staff at YMCA, KL. It was an honoured
that I was invited to host 15 teens and 2 head leads

Team Green, who are they?

A team representing the Council of YMCAs of Hong Kong
to build up the green image through different energy
measures, low-carbon policies, different green practice
and involvement. The team also study different new green
technology and administrative procedures of other NGOs
to strengthen the development of Green YMCAs

the name itself of their trip was named, "Ranger Malaysia
Rainforest Exposure Trip", and it was an aliases between
YMCA Hong Kong and YMCA Kuala Lumpur but i was just helping
out for the hosting of Central Market, Petaling Street and
the final night of them spending in Kuala Lumpur

i suck at saying goodbyes, and perfected a
please-do-not-touch-me-much-less-hug-me dance
routine at airports and public places in general
which involves some back patting, side stepping
and more back patting. sometimes even head pat
but that's reserved for those with heights below
my eye level. oh well, over the pass 7 days were
the interesting days to communicate an learn lots
from the Hong Kies who came over to Malaysia
looking forward for a chance to catch up with
them when i travel to Hong Kong again one day

A picture with Cathy & Linus to end my post!
