Takoyaki Making with Mukōda-Sensei

special invitation from a classmate for Japanese
Class Gathering with Mukōda-Sensei at Alice's
rented house with variety of food and drinks but
the most memorable part was our sensei (known as
"teacher" or "master" in Japanese) brought his
tools of making Takoyaki to share it with us

these were the tools used to make Takoyaki
some sort of rounded-hole frying pan and an
instant gas cooker. first step is to heat
up the pan, and wipe the holes with oil

next, pour the ready made mixed-substance
inclusive of flour, onion, tempura flour,
water and egg into the frying pan. then,
add the raw ingredients of what you wanted
your Takoyaki to be flavoured. This time
we used hotdogs as our main ingredient

when it is half-cooked, turn the half-sided
Takoyaki to the left or right corner and
add in more flour substance to cover the
ingredients added from the beginning

Look! the master cooks 7 Takoyaki's at a time

the ready made Takoyaki's seasoned with
thin slices of fried garlic, black
oyster sauce and Japanese mayonnaise

this is the master chef of the day
demonstrating to us of how to make
a Takoyaki - Mukōda-san in action

the chef of the day looked happy

Take 2

1st graduate of the day to test to
make the Takoyaki, and the saying
goes ladies first applies here -
Congratulations, Alice-San!

next is Chia-San. She was so stable
during the whole process of making
her own Takoyaki... Iidesu-ne!

next would be gentleman's turn, Yuda-San

pouring into the hot pan

Did he pass?

Congratulations, Yuda-San!

Not forgetting myself to try the
making of Takoyaki too, and sensei
said my expression was so serious =.="

Make a wil guess of who made these?

Japanese Words Explaination:
  1. たこ焼き or 蛸焼 (takoyaki) - literally fried or grilled octopus in a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of wheat flour-based batter. Takoyaki are brushed with takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise, then sprinkled with green laver (aonori) & dried bonito (katsuobushi)
  2. 先生 (sensē) - it is explained to be meant "teacher", but it has other meaning like minster, sir, husband (in polite form) and doctor
  3. −さん (-san) - The word "-san" is simply used to show respect towards the person whose name it is attached. It also meant "Mr.", "Ms.", or "Mrs." (in a polite form)
