Two Are Better Than One

had this sharing through the mid-week service
in church, which I felt it is totally beneficial
to share with all my fellow readers



the title of the sharing topic is
Two Are Better Than One



" Two are better than one because they
have a good return for their work :

If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up !

Also, if two lie down together,
they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?

Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is
not quickly broken. "

we all need friends in our life
we will always ask ourselves
whether we have friends or
we have acquientances more in
our daily life who are willing
to be there for us to help us,
listen to us and share with us



as most of the times as being
an adult there will be more
acquintances than having more
friends in our daily life



WHAT are the reasons that causes
a person to be more cautious in
choosing friends :

1) Culture and Modern Day's Life
miss out the urgent in importance
miss out the importance in urgent


2) Fast Foot People
it will be difficult to rejoice


3) Risk
to allow someone to be close is dangerous

4) Been Hurt and Betrayed

to have friends and acquintances which
emphasizes friends vs acquintances a
friend who is someone whom you are
comfortable to talk to and be with



WHY is it important to have friends?

1) A friend knows who you are
knows about you
likes who you are
not afraid of being ourselves


" A man with leprosy came to him and
begged him on his knees, "If you are
willing, you can make me clean."

Filled with compassion, Jesus reached
out his hand and touched the man.
"I am willing," he said. "Be clean!"

Christ accepted you, in order to

2) A friend loves you
loves you when things are inconvenient

do you have a friend to bring you out better



4) A friend helps you when you are in need
one who multiplies joy
the one who walks in when the world who walks out
a friend is there to pick us up
a friend who carries our mat
a friend who sees our weaknesses
being reliable, dependability, vulnaberility


"A few days later, when Jesus again entered
Capernaum, the people heard that he had come
home.

So many gathered that there was no room left,
not even outside the door, and he preached
the word to them

Some men came, bringing to him a paralytic,
carried by four of them.

Since they could not get him to Jesus because

somehow think twice when choosing a friend
do we have the opportunity to serve and
do we have a friend who is willing to serve
for us through our weaknesses?



do we have a friend who carries our mat for us?
a friend who is someone who is willing to make
us feel safe around and we learn from each other



"But since you rejected me when I called
and no one gave heed when I streatched out my hand"
