HTML vs XHTML

I guess you'll know what I am busy with after the first look of my title. Anyway, don't doubt about my title anymore, I'm so call "fall in love" with HTML and XHTML recently. I really have no choice as I have to master both of it to proceed further with my IWT assignment.

Ms Yennee has finished her lecture on HTML and XHTML topics, and you know what? My assignment is already out even though it's just the 2nd week of the semester. Sigh... Today (11 June 2008, Wed), she is starting a new lecture on CSS... See, how fast the pace you should carry on if you enrolled into a short semester. Not only IWT, my FOP lecturer is also now progressing as fast as the bullet train...

*** IWT - Internet and Web Technology
*** FOP - Fundamentals of Programming
(both subjects offered for students enrolling in KDU College's diploma in CS, BS or IT)

Anyway, I'm still figuring out the question of my assignment... Lots to think about and we'll have to present our idea by this week. Sigh... till now I'm still about it, I really don't have the inspiration of it... See maybe anyone who reads my post can give me some ideas... hehehe...

The question goes like this :
This is an individual project. The project is aimed to produce free online learning services for children aged between 7-12 years old. It is aimed to encourage children to learn any time and anywhere at their own pace. The learning subject could be ranged from languages, music instruments, etc. to safety at home. You are free to think of any appropriate topic for it. The proposed topic is subject to approval by the module lecturer. Please avoid plagiarism and collusion. Proven plagiarism or collusion will result in 0 marks.

A report must be produced for the following:
· Introduction and overview

· Aims and objectives of the web application
· User requirements and specification

· Proposed design specification (e.g. design paradigm, design decisions)

Storyboards The components of the website could be added with but not limited to the following:

· Home page – it is like a welcoming page and the design and contents must be able to reflect on the general aim of the website.
· Subject matter – the learning subject topic must be taught and assessed online with proper approach.
· Entertainment – since the target users are children, relevant games or some other sorts of entertainment
should be added to allow children to have fun while learning. · About – could be added
with information about the website and its general aim. · Help – could be added with help features, FAQ, and contacts.

· Credits – all the resources or references must be credited, as well as individual information (such as your
student information).

· Site Map – a site map could be added to show the overview of the navigational system. The design and layout
of the website should be appropriate for the target users.

Good Luck and have fun working with the project……
