December is really a month with festivals... What will you be thinking when it approaches into December??? Winter?? Snow?? Christmas?? Presents?? Anyway, i guess everyone will get to feel that Christmas is appraoching and it's almost the end of the year... Ok... I know we can't get to see snow and feel the festive season in Malaysia, but we can still celebrate Christmas... (Actually we should be happy that other countries are celebrating Christmas while it's cold, and we're celebrating in the hot & humid weather... ^_^)
Will anyone of you be in the eagerness of eating "tong yuen" in December??? I think not many people do think about it... For your information, "tong yuen" is made of glutinous rice powder... It's purpose of the "tong yuen" is to celebrate the chinese festive season known as "Dong zhi"... I think in english they call it "winter festival".... This year's "winter festival" falls on the 23rd December(Saturday)... On that day, my mom prepared the dishes and whole family including my relatives came to my house for a reunion lunch... Actually nothing much during this festival, but it has a benificial meaning of celebrating it.... For "winter festival's" informations... hehehe.... Go to www.wikipedia.com and do some research...
Today is Christmas and I cannot imagine myself writing this blog while lazying at home... Anyway, I guess my cousins would stay at home too... My parents have gone to 1U for shopping... Anyway, don't know why this year's Christmas is so quiet and cold... Cold as in the feel of Christmas is not here... Honestly, I can only feel it just on Christmas Eve.... (last night)
Last night was Christmas Eve... I've prevent myself to go bbq which my friends organised... Anyway, yesterday evening I went for an interview... OMG!!! I think I'm not going to take that job... The manager could not give me an answer that whether he's could hire me... GREAT!!! Ok... back to my Christmas Eve night... I had BBQ & pot luck dinner at my house... (Hahaha... I guess you've been thinking that I've stayed at home just to organise my own Christmas Eve dinner...) Honestly, I don't like celebrating with friends during Chrsitmas Eve... I still prefer to have dinner & BBQ with my family, my foster mother's family and some close friends... Ok... so let's see... the dinner begins at about 10pm... BBQ's preperation was done by my mother... And the pot luck dishes was prepared my uncle and I... It's so great that this year's christmas eve dinner, I get to try new food.... Anyway, I don't wana talk much about the dinner... A words to all of you... If you're keen to join my family's Christmas Eve dinner, then you should give me a call next year!!! ^_^
***Note : Shin Yi, I'm sorry that I didn't join your Christmas Eve dinner party.... I hope you enjoyed with SY, BK, LH & YY
