RIP, Chua Boon Huat

1st August started with a very shocking and saddening news of the second death of a Malaysia's sports man, the 33-year-old midfielder-striker with jersey No. 3, who died in a car accident at 2:30am along LDP highway.

Some view the news as a blessing as Marcus met all his team-mates and hockey officials at a breaking of fast function 7 hours earlier before his death and he was well known as a jovial self, and also interviewed by television channels on his Asia Cup aspirations.

In these recent years, when all the ugly politics, terrorism, childish racial tensions, snatched thefts and more recent shootings engulf the national papers' front page every day; we often seek solace via diverting to other genre of national news, and for sports lovers, undeniable it would be the sports news.

We are lucky to live through an era where Malaysia's sports are commendable. In soccer, the likes of Azman Adnan, Dollah Salleh, Zainal Abidin sprang on our mind. While for badminton, Rashid Sidek, Lee Chong Wei, Foo Kok Keong held special places in everyone's heart.

Not forgetting female athletes - Nicol David, Pandelela, Leong Mun Yee, and the list goes on which should be including Azizul Hasni Awang, Josiah Ng, Watson Nyambek have shown their results and glory for the country.

Just mentioned the names are real Malaysian heroes true legends! In hockey, we will always remember names like Nor Saiful Zaini, S. Kuhan, Mirnawan Nawawi and at a certain, the decease - Marcus Chua Boon Huat.

I am lucky to have met him once in a bak kut teh stall. A hero left us, left us for good, yet left us with fond memories. This hero is not someone who puts on airs, yet he just had this presence.

Goodbye, Malaysian hero!
Rest in peace, Marcus Chua Boon Huat.

My Thoughts for #Fast4Malaysia

Coming back writing a post about the "big" on going
event happening today, 31st July 2013 (Wednesday)
regardless of age, sex, race, religion and political
opinion to come together as Malaysians we pledged to
fast for the day (from 5:30am till 7:30pm) just like
how our Muslim friends fast in this Ramadan month

Emphasizing the word "BIG" as Malaysians come unite
to fast for the nation, which the idea came from Datin
Paduka Marina Mahathir, Niki Cheong & Rev Sivin Kit
Fast For Malaysia kicked off in 2009, with the objective
of garnering support of people to fast for peace and the
unity of our nation. To turn Malaysia a better country

Fast For Malaysia founders: (From left) Rev Sivin Kit, Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir and Niki Cheong

"The challenge of puasa isn't food/drink, it's being at peace
w urself & others. And random acts of kindness."
- Vernon Chan

For participation, I have pledge like others to fast today for
peace, unity and harmony for the nation and all Malaysians

From my personal experience, Fast For Malaysia is not a
major problem as I am an active volunteer and participant
for 30-hour famine (饥饿30) event which was organized
by World Vision Malaysia annually in July or August

Participating in this event is not only to experience the process
of how my Muslim friends go through fasting in this holy month
of Ramadhan, but also a reminder to myself that every year there
are countless children out there are fighting hard for hunger

Fast For Malaysia is one of the platform to unite Malaysians
I personally hope to see a better future for the country, hoping
Malaysians understand the demonstration of having a greater
capacity for unity and harmony that allow us to believe that
there is still much hope for our beloved country - Malaysia

What are you still waiting for?

Share your personal experience here, or share the petition with
your friends and family. Get your friends and family from all
over Malaysia and outside of Malaysia to participate!

The updates of Fast For Malaysia will be curating the posts
through the official site on www.fast4malaysia.tumblr.com
Encouraging the participants to post pictures, videos, thoughts
about the experience from pre-fast, fast and break fast on your
social networks by using the #Fast4Malaysia hashtag

Counting down less than 3 hours to go...
See you at 7:30pm for buka puasa!

Music of the Day #12 - Gary

This song was published in the album "格格Blue"
on 23rd December 2005, and it was considered
Gary Cao's first album creation with Rock Records
I have always been a vivid fans of Gary Cao and
his songs as I personally love his unique attitude
although there are many negative feedbacks about
his actions and words, but I never look down upon

This song played a big role of revealing my feelings:

Music of the Day #11 - Michael 王光良

作詞    張天成
作曲  光良

单恋 - 王光良 (Michael Wong)

Level5 x Green Butts CNY BBQ

The 8th day of Chinese New Year managed
to catch up with most of the directors
of Level5 Creative at Juan's new house

It turned out some sort to be a house
warming, and additional friends of
Green Butts with Level5 Creative to
make this whole CNY's BBQ to happen

Finding my way to Juan's place was pretty
easy as it was located just nearby to the
Kuala Lumpur's Japanese School, and I was
amazed by her new house... IT's HUGE!!!

Passing by the main road of KL's Japanese School

Never fails to meet a guardhouse before entering
all these residential area, and here it is!

The main starter or appetizer of the day

HoChiak #17 - Lim's 50th Wedding Anniversary

It was the 7th day of Chinese New Year, and
it is well-known as human's birthday. It's
known as everyone's birth day today but I had
an invitation by Uncle Lim and Aunty Dorris
for dinner at Uptown Damansara's Yuk Woo Hin
to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary

Uncle Lim and Aunty Dorris have ordered the
CNY's menu of this restaurant and here goes
the filling and tasty CNY dishes again...

Random Drive Downtown

A sudden urge to spend the day to drive
around downtown, not exactly into the
capital city but the other side of it
Sri Hartamas - Dutamas - Publika

Do you know that we have a new Istana Negara?
This entrance is from Sri Hartamas side

Passing by Publika and managed to capture a
shot of the main entrance with the signage

CNY - I Love Hong Kong

It seemed that my 2013's Chinese New Year
is filled with different slots of visiting
the cinema for different types of movies

out of a sudden that Uncle Lim and Aunt Dorris
came to my house for CNY visit, and they left
before lunch time. somehow, it was a promise
to be a obedient daughter to stay at home for
lunch with my mom, and a movie session with her

i was craving for Fatspoon's Loh Shu Fan, and
mom decided to have light lunch so it turned
out to be a good decision to have lunch at the
"Office Canteen" before heading for our movie
at Tropicana City Mall, 2:30pm

I've chosen to watch 2013's I Love Hong Kong
due to the ratings and good review about this
movie, and in the end it turned out to be a
very sentimental and meaningful one, which
portrays a different element of how this movie
used to be throughout the previous years

Rating: 8.5/10 for a very educational movie

Music of the Day #10 - ZSOS

Lost Without You - Zandi & Justin (Cover)

I'm lost without you
Can't help myself
How does it feel?
To know that I love ya baby

I'm lost without you
Can't help myself
How does it feel?
To know that I love ya baby

Tell me how you love me more
And how you think I'm sexy baby
But you don't want nobody else
You don't want this guy
You don't want that guy
You wanna touch yourself when you see me

Tell me how you love my body
And how I make you feel baby
You wanna roll with me
You wanna to hold with me
You wanna stay warm and get out of the cold with me

I just love to hear you say it
It makes a man feel good baby
Tell me you depend on me
I need to hear it

I'm lost without you
Can't help myself
How does it feel?
To know that I love ya baby

I'm lost without you
Can't help myself
How does it feel?
To know that I love ya baby

Baby your the perfect shape
Baby your the perfect weight

Treat me like my birthday
I want it this way
I want it that way
I want it, Tell me you don't want me to stop
Tell me it would break your heart
But you love me and all my dirty
You wanna roll with me
You wanna to hold with me
You want to make fires and
get Norwegian wood with me
I just love to hear you say it
It makes a man feel good baby

I'm lost without you
Can't help myself
How does it feel?
To know that I love ya baby

I'm lost without you
Can't help myself
How does it feel?
To know that I love ya baby

Can't help myself
How does it feel?
To know that I love you baby
I'm lost without you

Can't help myself
How does it feel?
To know that I love yoou baby!

********

the very first time when I listened to this song
sang by Robbie Thicke was in the car which was
played by a DJ on Red FM and the beat of the song
somehow suited my mood at that particular moment

after some research and added this song onto my
youtube playlist, i discovered a different version
which was sang by a female voice, which was way,
way very different. The main point is to introduce
this acoustic group from California in year 2005
