IT's the Ramadhan season where paintball arena
also giving special discounts for the season
a Path's friend of mine, named Trina posted
her paintball session's photo on her timeline
there and then on Path when the conversation
flows, David and I decided to catch up for
paintball session this coming weekends
the original plan was to play at Gombak but
unfortunately there weren't enough players so
we ended up heading to Astaka field at MAPACC
and started from 9:30am till almost lunch time
from this point onwards, i will let the photos
do most of the talking and narrations:

the whole paintball session ended about almost
lunch time and the idea and suggestion from
David who thought of heading downtown for photo
shoots for one of our Path's friend who lives
in Puerto Rico. she was very eager to know how
our capital city, Kuala Lumpur looked like
i started wondering upon the moment when David
started his car engine, the thoughts strike
through where I thought how many of us will
really take half a day or a day to carefully
look at the special corner or building in KL
the first destination that we're heading to
is University Malaysia because Astaka field
is already nearby to the university and we
decided to capture the main entrance's arch
on our way to the destination, we pass by this
arch that divides the border of the city and the
state, which means this arch divides Kuala Lumpur
(the city) and Selangor (the state)
an emergency alert to keep the car's petrol filled
as we do not want to disappoint ourselves with bad
outcomes or circumstances. ended up stopping at
Jalan Mahameru's Shell petrol station

carried on our journey downtown and now
we stopped halfway at the roadside to
capture this building - TM's HQ
entering the area of Brickfields actually
amazed me of a gigantic changes towards
the roads and on road decorations that
have been done by the government also with
the involvement of Dato' Seri Sammy Vellu
Look! The previous tar roads were changed
into bricks with our national flower's
design (hibiscus) to accomodate the
significant of our country
the pedestrian walkway, lamp post and
the side view of the road has been
maintained to a better standard along
Brickfield's main road
after dropping by Brickfields area we
continue to our next destination into
Chinatown, also known as Jalan Petaling
which is the well known Petaling Street
KL's Road is well known of the jam and
nevertheless the jam can be compared with
the other countries even we have the public
transports on road but still government
has to do something to reduce the jam
we're now nearby to the Pos Malaysia (Malaysia's
Post Office) and Dayabumi. Dayabumi was one of
the earliest major landmark and skyscrapers in
the city. Dayabumi is located near the National
Mosque and Old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station.
Dayabumi - a building that houses several
commercial facilities, and the building
itself has the modern Islamic style. The
facade of the tower is adorned with style
of eight-pointed stars, Islamic arches at
the top and bottom of the building
passing by the area of Central Market, known as
Pasar Seni also made myself realized that
how much the city has changed into where
Central Market now has a pedestrian
walk street known as Kasturi Walk
heading much inner to the city, we ended up
parking our car nearby the the old main bus
stop for bus changing to different routes at
Kota Raya. It is located right in front of
Metrojaya in the olden days but now part of
the building has been taken over by the
wholesaler supermarket, named Mydin

Petaling's entrance and there is another
arch at the end of the street
a local chinese temple within the Chinatown
area, and we were lucky that the temple has
some functions on the day that the cantonese
opera team were performing. Inside the temple
was filled with crowds of people praying too.
Temple was known as The God of Righteousness
(Guan gong) and God of Underground were here.

temple has an Indian temple.
i personally love this T-junction which connects
Jalan Sultan & Jalan Hang Jebat. my friends used
to question me the reason of loving this street,
which i replied to them that it is the fact to
show how narrow the streets of KL City is during
the early days (in mid 70's or 80's)
Yan Keng Benevolent Dramatic Association is founded
in 1920, one of the oldest Chinese opera clubs
in Kuala Lumpur. The association now is well
known to raise money through performances of
Chinese opera and choral singing for the old
folks' home, hospitals and schools
Previously, this association were formed to assist
the Chinese migrants to base on the grouping of
clans, trades, cultural and social activities
this is a classic tailor shop located right in the
heart of Chinatown, which was now operated
by the grandson of the name, Khong Kim Lyew
who bears his grandfather Kwong Fook Wing's
long-established's label
this tailor shop has a glorious past and present
because it has been well noted of sewing suits
for past leaders including the suits worn by Datuk
Onn Jaafar (UMNO Founder), Tun Abdul Razak
Hussein (2nd Prime Minister of Malaysia)
inside the shop there are two specially
hilighted photos which happened in 1974,
and the suits worn were sewn by this
tailor shop, the photos found were:
1. Black-and-White photo shows
the second Prime Minister, Tun Abdul Razak met
with China's Chairman, Mao Zedong during the
first state visit.
2. 5th Yang-di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdul
Halim Mu'adzam Shah met Queen Elizabeth II
at Buckingham Palace

after a long journey from the early half of
the day we finally stopped at a venue for
lunch - China Town Food Paradise
Lunch of the Day - Fried Sauce Noodles,
known as "Zha Jiang Mian" in mandarin
after lunch we got back to the parking
bay to collect the car and continue
driving to the next destination -

The Introductory of National Monument
this National Monument is a sculpture that
commemorates those who died in Malaysia's
struggle for freedom, principally against
the Japanese occupation during World War 2
and the Malayan Emergency (1948 - 1960)
this monument is known as the world's tallest
bronze freestanding sculpture grouping. This
was an idea by first Prime Minister, Tunku
Abdul Rahman in 1963. It is 15 meters tall,
designed by Austrian sculptor Felix de Weldon
the monument depicts a group of soldiers
holding the Malaysian national flag aloft
each bronze figures symbolizes leadership,
suffering, unity, vigilance, strength,
courage and sacrifice.

The first central train station of the
capital city, Kuala Lumpur which was
once an iconic building that appeared
in our Malaysian note.
this building was designed by a British
Architectural Assistant, Arthur Benison
Hubback. It consist a knowledge of
Anglo-Asian architecture in the region
on the station's design.
the journey of Kuala Lumpur one day trip
ended in the early evening with a gratitude
of how our few prime ministers built up
Malaysia especially the capital city, KL
with beautiful and historical architecture
