Path - Will you give it a try?

introducing you this application - Path
launched in November 2010, for the current
moment that only runs on iPhone and Android
which was build by a team of 22 people

as the value of the team is to keep things
simple so Path provides the simple way to
keep a journal of your life on the go
this could also help people authentically
express themselves and share their
personal life with their loved ones

PERSONAL HOME PAGE

this is a view of your personal Path page
which includes a cover on the top and your
activities below. You can cuztomize the
cover with your own favourite photos in
your phone album or even a fresh capture

HOME TIMELINE

a view of the homepage which is totally
alike the timeline of Twitter or Facebook
but i personally thinks that it looks
more alike to Twitter's interface




NOTIFICATION / ACTIVITY

Path also included a notification for users
to interact with their friends but it is
known as "activity". the notifiation is
shown at the bottom bar and there is
the "activity" page alike the
Facebook "notification" page

EMOTIONS / EXPRESSIONS

the most interesting part is about emotions
it is a interaction for users to interact
with friends of their sharings by a smile,
laugh, frown, gasp and even a love that
represents you "love" the sharing. this shows
that it is more in expressing rather than
giving the dull feedback only with words




INTERACTION BUTTONS

Next, let's look at the choser button. One
button to post photos and videos, who are you
with, where you are, what you're listening to,
what you're thinking, and when you go to bed
and wake up in the next day.




PHOTO & VIDEO SHARING

you can take a photo or choose the photo from
your favourite album of your phone




FRIENDS / PEOPLE

you can even tag a person whom you're with
while you share a photo, being at a place,
listening the music or sharing own thoughts

CHECK-IN TO PLACES

the location sharing actually works by
searching the location from Foursquare
it works simultaneously with your phone's
GPS or map location finder




MUSIC SHARING

the library of musics or your favourite
tracklist are searched from iTunes
through searching the song name,
followed by the song's artist




GO TO SLEEP / I'M AWAKE

you can even share with your friends that
have you go to bed or you're awake with
the "go to bed" and "awake" button




SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS

sharing of your activities can be share to
public or been private, and also to
Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Tumblr

PATH'S MAIN MENU

the simple menu also shows how the application
seems to be user friendly and allows user to
be a fast learner to catch up with the udpates




PRIVACY SETTING
Path shows a highly recommended privacy
where the user's profile is locked down. Professor
Robin Dunbar from Oxform University proofed
that number of trusted relationships for human
includes 5 best friends, 15 good friends,
50 close friends and family




Path does not need a website for the controlling
it is all settled and experience from mobile device
