Adele Adkins.....

this brilliant singer started singing
since she was four the first recipient

breakthough act in Sound of 2008

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins born on
5th May 1988, Tottenham (North London)
a singer-songwriter of pop, rock, soul,
contemporary and countrypolitan with
the skills of vocals, guitar, piano,
bass, celeste, percussion and keyboards



won two Grammy Awards, the Best New
Artist, the Best Female Pop Vocal
Performance and three of her song demo
which was posted on MySpace attracted
the attention of XL Recordings

the first album - 19 was released on
28th January 2008 after the single lead
of the song titled 'Chasing Pavements' in
this album, the track 'Hometown Glory' has
been featured in most of the British and
American television shows Skins, One
Tree Hill, Secret Diary of a Call Girl

21 - the second album was released on
24 January 2011 where the first single
released from teh album 'Rolling in the
Deep' which describe her as a "dark bluesy
gospel disco tune" then reached the UK
Singles Chart in Germany, Italy and Belgium

I personally cannot get my head out of the
second single in the album "21" - 'Someone
Like You' which was performed at the 2011
Brit Awards which then subsequently topped
the UK singles chart for five weeks as of
9th April 2011



'Someone Like You' this song was written
by Adele herself and Dan Wilson (musician)
this song is a piano ballad and lyrically
the song talks of coming to terms with a
broken relationship where it featured a
strong vocal performance throughout the
climactic points

Adele said, " When I was writing it I was feeling pretty miserable and pretty lonely, which I guess kind of contradicts 'Rolling in the Deep'..... "
