Little Saigon.....

the weather in Newcastle seems
to be turning better recently
as there is no more snowing
symptoms but it has been already
raining for the past two days



again it is time to enjoy meals
outside with my housemates and
there we headed to a Vietnamese
restaurant that i first enjoyed
with YaoLoong and SuhWoan



now it was my third visit to this
Vietnamese Restaurant - Little Saigon
that really serves perfect cuisine
with reasonable prices including
set lunch that starts from £4.50

24th & 25th.....

on the 24th early morning went for
last minute gift shopping at Hotel
Chocolat and went to pick up the
laptop in order i can use it
temporary for the moment while my
own laptop is under repair


in the evening with accompaniment
of SuhWoan to send YaoLoong off to
Paris for Christmas while on the
day itself the metro was packed as
i guess everyone is rushing back for
Christmas Eve's dinner

after dinner, exchanged Christmas
presents with all my flatmates whom
i had dinner with them always =)

for all girls' dinner 2 Malaysians, 1 from
China and 1 Thailand and let the pictures

laptop sent to repair due to
the charger problem and it's
now left at ComputerOrbit,
Gateshead but now been replaced
with a new laptop HP Pavilion


hope the situation will recover
back to normal and let me rest
properly with no more worries

Winter Solstice.....

remember the past few years since I was born
the whole family will make these Tang Yuan
at night before a day of the festival, and we
have reunion dinner on the festival day itself


somehow this year is so quiet and lonely
without the reunion dinner and also the
Tang Yuan cooked in ginger soup


my so first impression was the china students
who stayed in my whole flats, almost 30 over
of them, might be celebrating this meaningful
festival but it seems like i have predicted wrongly


these students from Nanjing doesn’t seems to
celebrate this festival, and it might be due
to the cold weather in Newcastle


i remember grandma once said,
once we eat these Tang Yuan,
it means we’re growing older a year
as the new year is approaching after this
meaningful festival to celebrate the in the
cold and it means that winter is now here
