Malaysia's Path Gathering 2012

A MONTH BEFORE THE GATHERING...

out of a sudden from a comment reply on Path where

David came out with the idea of a get together session

for all Malaysian's Path users at a particular date

after few days of discussion the comments and the whole

plan came true and it is gonna be happening for the 1st 

ever Malaysia's Path Gathering is gonna happen on  

2nd June 2012, Saturday at Fatspoon Cafe

3 WEEKS BEFORE THE GATHERING...

on the other side, there was this surprised phone call from

a guy named, Shak from UK clarifying from me regarding

the gathering and continued the process where emails were

sent to communicate with him and here comes a guy named,

Jeremy took over to in charge and send us surprises by

DHL-ing the samples of Path T-shirts

1 WEEK BEFORE THE GATHERING...

attendees were a total number of roughly 15 heads

but the whole situation is still played by ear

while on Path there were many response given

on David's Path post and comment box where

each and every of them were interested about

the Path TShirts and also the gathering

2 HOURS BEFORE THE GATHERING...

the lucky draw numbers were being prepared just in

case there were really a big crowd of people to stand

the chance to win those Path TShirts

AT 7:30pm SHARP...

David and I arrived earlier than the expected time

at Fatspoon Cafe where we had conversations on

going while patiently waited for the attendees but

unfortunately David was disappointed by all of the

sudden replies of attendees who gave weird excuses

that they could not make it for the gathering!

What a waste of opportunity it is...

oh well, not disappointing ourselves with the number of

attendees, we ordered few Fatspoon Cafe's light bites.

While my friend Michelle arrived just on time where all

the special Fatspoon Cafe's Light Bites were served

While waiting for the final attendee, Nantha, we could not wait

any further to fill up our empty stomachs and there and then we

proceeded with all the special dishes of the night (Perut Ikan,

Curry Chicken, Steamed Tofu, Prawns to go with Rice) but it

was lucky for Nantha that he did arrived about 30 minutes after

when all the special dishes were served

AN HOUR AFTER 7:30PM...

at first we only thought there were total of four attendees

but coincidentally one of the Path user, named Firdhaus who

was having dinner with his wife and son just bumped into

Nantha and he just knew the Path gathering is happening

right here at Fatspoon Cafe, Uptown Damansara

with his enthusiasm of supporting our effort, Firdhaus

joined in and we started to introduce ourselves and i

guess that is with God's gift to allow us to meet new

people and share our prospects of our career and industry

the flow move on with just simple conversations between the

five of us - David, Nantha, Michelle, Fidhaus and I and we

all have the same perspective to have a bigger crowd during

the next gathering which is gonna happen again soon

would specially like to thank David, Nantha, Michelle and

not forgetting the final joined in attendee, Firdhaus for

making this whole event happened! We will soon plan to

have a better Path gathering and let the crowd increase!

Gift from God

what a panicked and life saviour day!!!

I was on duty for the dodgeball tournament

in conjunction with the National Youth Day

at Persint 18, Putrajaya by helping Malaysia

Association of Dodgeball as a freelancer for

coordinating the whole flow of the event

the whole story started where Benedict was being

brought by one of our local dodgeball player to

the nearby MBS Building to catch a taxi (this was

told and informed by the organiser) at 3pm but

unfortunately there weren't any taxi coming in

and the authorities and policemen are not even

giving a helping hand towards the gentlemen

while heading back to the tournament venue was

hoping that the organizer do give a helping hand

too but in the end transport was being asked off

anyone who is heading off from Putrajaya in order

to send Bennedict to the international airport

with all the calls and asking bad news was time

was running out and there weren't any solutions

for Bennedict and in the end I asked for the

permission to send Bennedict to the airport

even though I'm not familiar with the roads but

at least I tried to give him a lift safe and

sound for him to make it for the check-in

the most important of all is where from being a

total stranger till we gained another unique

friendship from the gift of God. this post is

just a sharing of experience for what type of

person would you want to be and will you be

willingly to give a helping hand even if you

know you might faced obstacles throughout the

whole journey...

2012 Hari Belia - Dodgeball Tournament

GREETINGS back to my fellow readers! After so long, and I am back to the track of blogging after the accumulation of laziness and being exhausted due to workloads, added on with the off and on freelancing events coordinating. Settling down at my favourite coffee place - Starbucks, with stable network and there we go to kick start the next few interesting on going postings...

IT has been a surprising and exciting weekend for the youth in Malaysia where government departments from Ministry of Youth and Sports, Majlis Belia Malaysia, Perbadanan Putrajaya and Putrajaya Holdings organised the Hari Belia Negara (National Youth Day) with many marvelous advertising on newspapers and radio stations. The whole event took place from 23rd to 27th May 2012 (a five days event) at Putrajaya.

HISTORICAL moment started on the 26th May's morning at 6am, leaving from home driving along the highway to reach Persint 18, Putrajaya for the Dodgeball Tournament in conjunction with National Youth Day (Pertandingan Dodgeball Belia Sempena Hari Belia Negara 2012 Kebangsaan). As usual my part is to freelance helping out Malaysia Association of Dodgeball for the event coordination of the day. Reaching on the time that I'm supposed to arrived 7am at Futsal Court of Taman Pancarona (Persint 18, Putrajaya), setting up the booth and preparing for the balloting and registrations.

AFTER the open ceremony, all games started in two different courts for male and female category under the fairly good weather. It is just like a hide-and-seek game for the players and the sun. We have teams from the local universities and colleges, team players who came from Manjung, Perak, and not forgetting the most supportive team, naming themselves "Austin Prowlers" (consist of players from Singapore, Philippines and The States).

IT was a judgement day for all teams on the second day of the tournament. The knock-out-stage was the particular moment that all teams were interested off with the final results and who will be the champion? In the end, for the male category, the top 2 highest scorer from individual four different groups were qualified to the knock-out stage.

WHERE as for the female category, UCSI's Red Devil's survived towards the knock-out-stage with fabulous results, and managed to win all the matches and finished as the Champions for the whole Dodgeball Tournament. This also proved that the spirit of the dodgeball game is just amazing even under the burning scorching sun on the second day of the tournament.

p/s: From this tournament, I experienced lots!

Knowing people from different country, God also

given me the chance to help out the needs of urgent

situations, which the organiser and the authorities

of the whole event could not give any proper help or

needs on the eleventh hour
