2013 Countdown @ KLCC

my new year countdown seemed to be unique this
year as to welcome year 2013, i will be together
with this group of teens from Hong Kong's YMCA
who travelled to Malaysia for their Malaysia
Rainforest Exposure Trip. Read more HERE

the itinerary for them was to visit KLCC on this
final day of 2012, then together with the other
foreigners and Malaysians who gathered outside
KLCC for the countdown and fireworks

while spending our time waiting for the clock
to strike midnight 12 of 1st January 2013, we
decided to bring the group to try out our local
Indian famous cuisines at Bistro KL Mamak just
right behind the row of shops behind KLCC

Tissue Tosai

somehow it didn't turned out to be for eating
but Kelvin made the Tissue Tosai to look alike
a hat, which was worn by the Mexicans. LOL

Bowie followed to snapshot a picture of herself
with Tissue Tosai that act as the Mexican Hat

the night view from right bottom of
the beautifully lighted up KLCC

Take 2 of the lighted up KLCC

red fireworks to be seen when the
clock strikes 12, 1st January 2013

more sparkles from the view of
Dataran Merdeka's side fireworks

it was a great opportunity to countdown with
different companion this year and was great
that the foreigners especially the group of
Hong Kong's teens get to see the beauty of
our motherland on 31st December 2012

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013 to all
readers of Uncategorize Myself

New Year's Eve

Drove dad to hospital (DSH) in the early morning
to remove stitches then off to Tung Shin Hospital
@ Jalan Pudu for mom to undergo acupuncture~

Lunch plan was supposedly to be at Little India @
Brickfield's Hong An - Pu Tian Restaurant but
unfortunately none of the Chinese cuisine' shops
were open on the new year eve...

Ended up my first round visit and lunch at YMCA
KL's Kafe Shook for set lunch, and headed back
home. I need more rest, still feeling sick!

There goes my 3/4 day of 2012's new year eve...!

Black December

for the whole month of December
my plans aren't working well
with this horrendous weather

a repay with off and on of cough,
flu and slight fever for me being

31.12.2012-23:00

It is the final 24 hours of 2012
the accompaniment of jazz music
surrounded the room made me
thought of my best and favourite
moments that i had in year 2012

Big leaps of experience that i
went through in year 2012 slowly
reflecting, asking myself:

What have I learned...?
What have I accomplished...?
Have I achieved my target...?
Have I completed 2012's checklist...?

Have I achieve my mature thoughts?
How have I been to be more understanding?
How have I broadened self-confidence?

2012 is a year filled with balance of
ups and downs from incidents and
experiences that I had went through
accompanied with people whom I met

Welcoming more confidence, learning
experiences, challenges, ideas and
communication to complete in 2013

From the bottom of my heart I thank
the important people who appear in
my life in year 2012, whom the ones
who stood by my side to always support
with heartfelt feelings till the end

"You're never too old to set another goal
or to dream a new dream..."   - C.S. Lewis

Happy New Year Eve!

Solemn Flashback

Uni's life and working life is totally alike
sky and land, which never to be the same

I've been slacking away in terms of work
productivity since 21st Dec till across
the festive season - Christmas

I'd never take long leaves to spend on a
long vacation, and it's time for me to
grab the final day of 2012's opportunity
to have a solemn flashbacks of 2012

3 more days to the end of year 2012, but
seriously I don't have the excitement of
welcoming 2013. Don't ask me why

Today evening is another fruitful
experience of sharing knowledge of our
motherland and building friendship by
hosting 15 teens from Hong Kong's YMCA
for Eco-Exchange Trip Sharing & Go-Green
Collaboration with YMCA KL

No matter who you are, even people whom
I don't even know, I would never give
up my sincere heart and compassion for
voluntary events

"To be passionate and stress-free in work
is to like what you're doing..." said Wilfred

I'm loving my role as a junior web designer
and developer, but meanwhile I'm also sharing
passion to give a helping hand in the voluntary
events with no expectation of any returns

Good night, 28th December 2012;
Good morning, 29th December 2012.

Pasar Seni @ Central Market

21:49 28th December 2012 - the journey started from YMCA,
Kuala Lumpur by a bus to reach the station which located
right outside the main entrance of Central Market

managed to have the chance to visit Central Market or it
is also known as Pasar Seni in Bahasa Malaysia with the
teens from Team Green Hong Kong, who came along
for their Malaysia Rainforest Exposure Trip

Pasar Seni (Central Market)

This art deco building by architecture T.Y. Lee
began constructing in 1936. The layout is splayed to
align with the street pattern. No two façades are
alike but the whole is held together by unifying
treatment of the windows and doors. The stepped
entrance design as well as the strong moulded frieze,
which runs along just below roof-line, is repeated
on the sides. Art Deco ornamentation in the form
of wrought iron panels of interlocking rings, above
doorways. The windows and skylight are "Carolex"
glass, which transmits only 20% of the sun's heat but
admits 60% daylight. For years, the Market was
Kuala Lumpur's largest single room, measuring
123.7m long, 60.8m wide and 7.9 high
(407ft x 200ft x 26ft).

Pardon me to explain that the term "Pasar Seni" wasn't
the direct translation from Central Market, but "Pasar
Seni" actually meant "Art Market"Central Market was
the actual old name, and it was a structure which is
noticeably old, but unfortunately the current one has
been renovated and it looked much alike a mall

Central Market is well known of wide diversity of
high quality handicrafts produced by local craftsmen.
They range from the traditional native bead-works;
traditionally hand weaved gilded fabric known as
"Songket", artistic wood carvings from the natives of
Borneo to the vibrant and colourful "Batik" cloth

i personally still prefer the old structure that has
the diverse culture of Malaysia, which consists of
The Straits Chinese, Lorong Melayu and Lorong India
and the price of those days were reasonable for a
tourist to buy souvenirs which anything that they
can think as memento, key chains, miniatures,
'I Love KL' or 'I Love Malaysia's T-shirt

The building is now located at Jalan Tun Tan Cheng
Lok (Foch Avenue) and the pedestrian street is only
section of Jalan Hang Kasturi (Rodger Street), which
is few minutes away from Jalan Petaling, which is
also well known as Petaling Street (Chinatown)

of shining pieces and the feminine ribbon knot on the front
~ RM329.00 - 50% discount ~

decided to take this pair of heels too as it reminded
me that my aunt had a pair with lovely cloth ribbon
knot at the front as a design *thumbs up*
~ RM229.00 - 50% discount ~

i always wanted a pair of white sneakers and now this design
with poker "holes" looked cool and i decided to just buy it

Don't ask me why I bought this slippers or known as flats,
but I just really needed it... *cough cough cough*
~ Only RM35.00 ~

a round up filter shots of shoes and slippers that i've purchased

IN the end, Michelle decided to continue to use her
RM750 vouchers on clothings but during Activity 2
Shopping, she has already spent about RM200+ for
jacket and there goes the continuation of shirts,
slacks, dresses, jackets... etc. testing in the wide
and huge fitting rooms

After much thoughts...

Dress 1 of purchase for the day
~ RM179.00 - 50% discount ~

Dress 2 of purchase for the day
~ Only RM89.90 ~

8:00pm - we left Delicious when the dinner was
ordered by the organizer, Sunsilk Malaysia at
roughly 5pm or 5:30pm as it was buffet style and
Michelle and I weren't hungry at all after one whole
long day, but we finally decided to have dinner at
1 Utama's Signature Old Town White Coffee

while having our dinner Michelle decided to call up
her 1st younger sister to join us and helped her out
to finish spending the leftover's TANGS gift voucher
as she cannot find anything to purchase anymore

9:00pm - final hour grab by Michelle's sister inside
TANGS, and i decided to purchase some accessories
to finish off my leftover RM60 gift vouchers.
i managed to grab a hair band for a long time no
see friend, necklace... etc.

~ Necklace - 1 for RM9.90 - 20% discount ~
~ Rubber Hair Band - 1 for RM5.90 ~
~ Hair band - Only RM19.90 ~

10:30pm - finally home sweet home after a
very super duper long day with leisure, good
times and first record breaking's shopping
