2012

gonna make my first post of year 2012
as simple and short as possible as im
not gonna list out one by one of the
routines and agenda that happened in
year 2011, and not gonna list out my
new year resolutions one by one of
like what i did in the previous years




WHY ???




year 2011 had been a memorable year
for me that i will never forget and
will cherish it with me whenever i
meet new people and new challenges
in life that will totally support me
further to move forward and live for
my future and the latter of these years

New Year Eve - Catan Session

this year's new year eve is somehow totally
different of how i used to celebrate in the
previous years where stayed at home waiting
patiently for the clock to strike 12am and
there goes the "boom" of fireworks sound




was at Brian's joining the other gaming members
(honestly not joining game for gaming session)
but in the end was a 4 player Catan session
with Brian, his elder brother, Vincent and Alvin




Settlers of the Catan seemed to be addictive for
me recently as I just started learning to play
this European board game during MaGaCon event
and was totally addictive to the office gang

Office Catan Session

the fun of playing Settlers of the Catan
has never ended ever since the day when
MaGaCon was organized in KDU College and
this particular European Board Game -
The Settlers of the Catan was bought by
the big boss in order to organize a
friday board game session in office



we actually had pizza for dinner where
Brian, Zachary and Alvin came to office
to join the fun of the whole game session

Blessed Christmas - Part 2

it has already been four days after
Christmas that been spent with the
sharing, caring and thanksgiving
with presents exchanged and the
encouragement from all friends




somehow presents still been non-stop
approaching towards me and i felt
blessed with all the givings with
encouragement even the relationship
or friendship was just an early stage

Blessed Christmas - Part 1

Christmas is the time for sharing,
for thanksgiving and spending time
with family, friends and love ones
it has been after so many years that
i have a great one - 2011's Christmas

i gained back the sense and feelings
for a happy and blessed Christmas
a wonderful, jolly, blessed Christmas
started on the 23rd December where
i actually had fun meeting back most
of my family members from all around




a party organized by two small groups
from church at Ken 1 Damansara Condo
welcomed total roughly of 68 attendees for
the whole night with delicious cater
food, presents exchanged, games and
not forgetting the bible sharing part




23rd December was a really awesome
Christmas' Eve's Eve where everything
was so happening on this particular
day and it went along that brought me
through a quiet Christmas Eve on 24th




managed to catch up with Okon and Allen
at Banana Leaf for teh tarik session on
Christmas Eve's night with most of the
questions and answers from Okon but it
was fun hanging out with a friend whom
i never hang out at the mamak session




Christmas day was pathetic that i caught
up with a slight and short high fever
where thank God i actually recovered in
the latter of the evening and managed to
catch up with some of the brothers and
sisters from church after a sister's
baptism and they were having dinner at
SS2 Murni - here goes another mamak




not gonna write much in this post as my
feelings are too deep to be described
with words in this year's blessed Christmas
just want to thank all the brothers and
sisters from church, company's colleagues,
friends and relatives who gave me this
blessing Christmas celebration




so many years after i received all
the memorable gifts from different
friends and relatives (even included
brothers and sisters from church) and
most satisfied feeling was i had learned
to give out gifts as a blessing to all
my unique friends which friendship was
formed in different special ways

Christmas Eve's Eve

it has been a great day since morning
where the office was so quiet without
anybody came into the office as all
are in holiday mood..... sigh ~



well, i didn't know what to had for
lunch and ended up heading to the
office canteen - Fatspoon Cafe to
enjoy my last lunch to end off for
the whole long holiday weekend



was actually surprised to receive a
whatsapp message from my boss where
i actually wanted to just leave after
lunch to carry on with my routines



had a great evening spent with Charmaine
at Wondermilk before collecting all the
cupcakes for the latter part's party

Winter Solstice

winter solstice is always the day
that reminded us that we are soon
heading to a brand new year and
it is coming to an end after so
long - resolutions should be plan


Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

Mid Week - Christmas

today's mid-week is rather a special
mid-week service where the normal
hymns has changed to be all the
Christmas Carols and i personally
love the carols titled "Feliz Navidad"



after so long i never heard this song
i guess the last time that i hear this
song was in a fine dining restaurant
who actually played the older version



do you see what God see - title of the
sermon for this week's mid-week service
where it concluded that the first point
was personal changes of heart which states
that no matter in friends or spiritual



Matthew 6:22-23 - the eyes are bad,
fools of darkness happens not only
with our physical eyes but how does
our heart view on this?



we shall see things through our heart
meaning for the things that we desire
and loyal towards - we one day might
ending up to have anesthesia or cataract
where the vision will either have grey
view or milky film towards the eyes



how do we view of physical and spiritual?
Mark 2:1-12 - it is the way of finding ways
to see Jesus with the mat and the roof where
concluded that Jesus saw their faith



Ecc 1:15-16 - eyes of hear being corrupted
the conspiracy theory that goes with agenda
everything is clean to those who are clean
we shall see things in a spiritual manner
and shall ask ourselves whether we have
the faith within us where allowed God to
see faith in people's life



for the second point says that God sees
opportunity as in Mark 2:13-14 is a good
impression of the tax collector where
taught us whether we see the opportunities
around us : friends and relatives



Luke 19 - the tress climbing where salvation
has come to this house that shows I will not
miss out any for the father where at times
things that we focus might miss out the
other better opportunities outside



So, what do we see today?



God sees beyond, Luke 21:1-4
Jesus saw the widow where seeing things
physically and the dedication from the
widow. Luke 34 - have faith of God taking
care of the widow where it shows the
character of self-righteousness



Are we perfect ?

Do we see priority of being a disciple ?

Do we see of what God sees beyond
to make changes in us ?



Hebrews 12:6 - patience is a buy of
articulation with love, suffering draws
us apart to worthy cares



this week's sermon has been an awesome
one which totally implies for me to think
more and really understands what do I see
of what God sees

Sacrifice

the festive season is approaching in
few more days time and as usual the
start to design Christmas cards and
prepare presents are the important
role for the time of the year



i will need to have a preparation
towards mental and physical as for
this year i have to prepare 90 small
cards for the Bible Talk Group's
Christmas Party on this coming Friday



also, the cards that im gonna sent
out has increased in number as my
friendship is always increasing but
the spirit of friendship never fails
me to encourage me to decorate the cards



dodgeball side is somehow a little pity
and i felt sorry as im supposed to come
out with all the posters and article
design for the first dodgeball league
in year 2012 - Qatto Dodgeball Challenge



work is still doing good, great things that
i have learned for the week as it is totally
a different task and never been responsible
to be in charged of it before but it seemed
to be that the office has the holiday mood on



this is where i sacrifice my sleeping hours
to decorate and make the cards for the
Christmas Party and also for friends and
also sacrifice my sleeping time for work
to organize out everything properly

Office Warming Party

a great day to start with no task in work
and there goes the set up of the Christmas
tree brought to office by Wilfred with all the
pretty Christmas tree's ornaments and extra
red ribbons, angels and also not forgetting
the best part for the tree - the lights !



took us about two hours to set up and decorate
the whole Christmas tree for office and then
off for lunch at the office Canteen - Fatspoon

lunch was awesome that managed to meet new
people also known as partners but somehow
i felt the situation is kinda awkward so
in the end went back to office to continue
and find some work to carry on and work



3:45pm - Juan was the earliest one to reach
the office for the Year End Party, and there
comes the big boss with his gf bringing up
lots of goodies to the office for the latter



Food arrived after an hour, it is totally so
awesome that there were varieties of catering
food from Boon's Little Kitchen, check out HERE



missed the pictures of the food as i went
back home to collect the ladles and tools
for the food catering as there were no food
ladles provided for the chicken curry



all the partners, guest of honoured was my
first experience to meet and greet them
somehow is this the plan that i should
learned to hypnotize myself that im really
a part of the member of the company



The other side of Jason in the house !


the latter part was DJ Jason in the house
playing the remix and made the whole office
seemed to turn out to be like a club and
everyone went so drunk due to the red wine,
rose wine, white wine and champagne



im really unsure why im in the office but
somehow was a great session with Brian and
Zachary to have a try and play the Settlers
of the Catan which was bought by my boss at
MaGaCon and three of us were the first whom
started using the new game tools



Had the first and best experience of "office
warming party" @ year end party. Thanks
to all the boss from level5creative,
scratchdisk creative and the car guys

Gathering

it has been a day hanging out at MaGaCon -
Malaysia's Gaming Convention at KDU College
all the fun and meeting up with old friends
and gained the friendship to meet new people



took up the courage to try the Kinect & Xbox
with trying out the game - Dance Central 2
sponsored by Microsoft with MingSheng and Kevin


the most important part of the day was a great
dinner with Allen and MingSheng at Aman Suria's
murni which managed to catch up with each other
after for so long

BBQ2011

on the way back after accompanying Sharon
to find her Monday's interview venue at
Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, she drove all the way
back to my house and waited for me to
finish my dinner with my parents before
we headed back to her house to drop off her
car and continue with the day's third agenda



followed her back to her house after we
left from my house and continued the
journey to pick Nelson up from KFC,
nearby Mahsa University College's hostel
and then off to Tropicana City Mall's
Carrefour to purchase extra BBQ stuff
for the latter's BBQ event



managed to be lucky to get a parking space
right in front of the lift entrance and
all the way up to the supermarket to grab
sausages, cocktails and burger meat but
also not forgetting to get packet of ice



get a call from WaiJin saying that he's
dropping by to see the BBQ event and next
was Mr. Goh calling up and was expecting
the preparation is half way through but
unfortunately can only proceed the start
of the fire for the BBQ set at only 8:45pm



the BBQ supposed to start at 8:30pm but
somehow it turned out to be a little late
as all the stuff have to be shifted from
JiaHong's car parked at KDU to Arthur's
house for the start of the whole event



turned out to be a memorable BBQ event
and totally broke the record that the
estimated amount of food is cleared
well by all the attendees of the BBQ



Thank JiaHong for all the marinated
chicken wings, last minute shopping
for otak-otak and satays

Thank Nelson and Sharon, for helping out
to shift the BBQ stuff from JiaHong's car
to my car and next to Arthur's house

Thank Shawn and Arthur to make a start for the
BBQ's set fire in order to proceed with food

Thank Mr. Goh, his friend and Nick for
supporting the BBQ event although
they did not even get sufficient food
and paid for the BBQ event

Thank all attendees who gave support and the
chance to gather up for the event !



Off to bed after a long day filled with
heavy routines and heavy tasks and events

was actually hoping for you to come along
and have fun with us as you promised, but
unfortunately it was a disappointment of
your promise.....

MaGaCon

at least i have sufficient rest before
the whole agenda start for the today
headed out for breakfast with parents
at the KDU University College's nearby
coffee shop and back to memories of
eating the pork noodles & rice noodles



dropped off by my parents at KDU and
ended up for the first sight met up
with Dr. Tan at the main marketing
department's entrance and had a short
catch up with her about all the life
in Newcastle, the course and lifestyle



off to the registration counter of
MaGaCon and collected my goodies bag
headed up into the auditorium and met
up with Max, Allen, JiaHong, Nicholas
and Eric in their smart suite



was actually looking forward to play
Dirt 3 but unfortunately i arrived
at the wrong timing for the Dirt 3
session but was glad to have a game
round of Catan with all the "virgins"
(Vernon, Wilfred and Jason) till 2pm
where the actual tournament starts



there were other interesting parts like
Microsoft Sponsor's Kinect which spread
across half of the auditorium, the PC's
for pc games and Meeples & Boardgames Cafe
setting up their tables for boardgames
(Catan & Monopoly) tournament



Miniatures painting and selling did
happen too in the whole MaGaCon event
and last but not least the L.A.R.P -
Live Action Role Play live on stage



left KDU at 3pm, Sharon picked me up
from the main entrance and off down
to the city - Jalan Yap Kwan Seng
accompanying her to find her Monday's
interview venue at Menara AmBank



off we go driving along Jalan Tun Razak
and i was actually hoping not to rain
when dark clouds seemed to cover the sun
and of course hoping that it won't flood
and safe way back home from the venue



Sharon actually made a second try to
drive down again to the same place
and was proud of her that she could
remember the to and fro road that she
will be using on Monday afternoon

MAD Dinner Gathering

it was the first time that was surprised
to get a phone call from Ramona on Wednesday
inviting me for a dinner at Uptown D'sara
area to discuss some dodgeball events' plans
coming up for the year 2012 in advance



i made a reservation for 6 people at the
well-known office canteen - Fatspoon Cafe
which is located at Uptown Damansara, PJ
where Lucas actually managed to find the
exact location and arrived early for the
dinner gathering for the night



waited with Lucas for about 40 minutes
to see the arrival of Ramona, WaiTat,
HuiLei and Bennedict so that we can
proceed with the food and drinks order



it was a great discussion and catch up
to update for the two coming up dodgeball
events approaching right early of the year
in January (Qatto Dodgeball Challenge) and
the biggest event in March (World Dodgeball)



it was really a fast and rapid dinner with
alongside of discussions that only took up
to start and finish within and hour where
i actually feel bad of bothering Ramona,
WaiTat, HuiLei and Bennedict to travel out
throughout the jam to Uptown Damansara
from Cheras, KL where the ratio has to be
"In the car" 2 hours vs 1 hour "dinner & discussions"



really appreciate the dinner with you guys
and the treat by Ramona, also looking forward
to cooperate and work with the members in 2012

Movie Outing

great invitation from Ricky for movie
outing, watching - Arthur Christmas
it was a heavy pour in the late evening
and i was totally worried that i will
be late for the early catch up session
with Charmaine before the movie outing



reached Tropicana City Mall at roughly
6:40pm and thank God that i made it
on time to meet up Charmaine, Crystal and
Ricky was already on the meet up venue
and having their dinner at Subway



although it was a short catch up session
with Charmaine doing art craft ornaments
shopping for Christmas and card decorations
and we managed to have a little short talk
really appreciate the time that was valuable



Arthur Christmas movie started at 8:25pm
and was the first time having Ms. Hannah
on my left and another newly known sister
from church sitting on my right in cinema
somehow i always still have the memories
of heading into a cinema theater and it
did happen again at the front part when
entering the cinema to find the seats



i saluted the director of the whole movie
as a very simple storyline of the whole
layout seemed to portrayed it successfully
with the modern technology gadgets' idea
and also the meaning of what Christmas tend
to mean for each and individual

Preparation

it was a surprised to receive a phone call
almost the time that i always off from work
ended up i went back from work a little
earlier than the usual time - 6:30pm


headed back home to grab my dinner and off to
Kota Damansara's Giant for BBQ preparation
shopping with JiaHong to buy some early stuff
that we can prepare for the approaching BBQ


ended up buying a new bbq set, extra stewers,
bottles of fizzy drink, honey and brush for
the preparation of the early stage of event


it was great to have J.Co Donuts in the mall
as it has been a long time since I ate and
taste the flavour of the tasty Donuts

UKM Dodgeball Open

started the journey early in the morning
seriously it is indeed very early for me to
wake up at 6:30am as it has been long time
since i wake up at this time of the day



driving along the roads of the capital city
sounds like a trip of treasure hunt but in
the end it was just a search to the venue
for the dodgeball event - UKM Dodgeball Open



the event is held at this unique venue located
Tennis Court, Kolej Tun Syed Nasir of UKM which
is at Jalan Temerloh nearby Titiwangsa and was
participated by total of fourteen teams



the event particularly supposed to start at 9am
but due to most of the teams were hunting their
way to the correct location for the event and
it ended up starting at 10am with a beautiful
Saturday morning with bright sun shinning



it was almost lunch time when the teams of
Inti Reapers, Eagles, D.H. 'B', Rejected Army,
Piranna Hybriz, Harimau Merah (L), Devils A and
Harimau Merah (P) managed to fight into semi-finals



the quarter finals proceeded immediately after
the break for marshalls and players between
Reapers versus D.H. 'B' (3 vs 0) and
Harimau Merah (L) versus Devils A (2 vs 1)



In the end of the day about 3:30pm, Devils A
got the 4th placing, D.H. 'B' won the 3rd place
and not forgetting the first-runner up goes to
Harimau Merah (L) and Champion goes to Reapers
with the wining of 2 to 1 of the finals



Cash prize was presented by the president of
the whole UKM Open event while accompanied by
the secretary of Dodgeball Malaysia, Wai Tat

Dilemma

have been totally busy recently
with work, events and hangouts
somehow it seems life is moving
on and feels so good



at this particular day i was
totally in a dilemma of the
weekend's plan as there were
so many events going on the
10th December (Saturday)



was totally in the dilemma
to help out MAD for the
UKM Open or to attend the
HackWeekend workshop but
in the end i made my decision



it's time for a break for me
after the UKM Open's dodgeball
and have really a good rest
and refreshed myself before
a start to work again on Tuesday



long weekend ahead with the
replacement of public holiday
on Monday, 12th December

Last Mid Week

it is the final night of Mid Week
which the sermons presented by
Burt and Whye Leng came to an end
the heavy rain pour flow late evening
seemed to be God's plan that early



managed to get a lucky parking space
and attended the Mid Week service
and the usual started with the
singing of hymns and prayer



to conclude the sermons from the
past five weeks :

"Greater love has no one than this:
to lay down one's life for one's friends"

"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.
For what do righteousness and wickedness
have in common? Or what fellowship can
light have with darkness?"

to conclude whenever we feel lonely
find a friend, or even make a resolution
to make at least 7 best friends that
we can go to whenever we feel lonely



Single ≠ Lonely

Kind of Joy that Money Just Can't Buy

It started with an innocent Whatsapp message saying "Someone is bearing fruit tonight". And I was like "Buah rojak ke, cempedak ke, durian ke...."


Then I realize the REAL meaning behind that. I AM bearing fruit. I'm becoming a TREE now. Whooooshhhh


I replied saying "Drinks on me tonight!!" with much "applause" from the chat room.


Fast forward to the night where we all gather at the poolside of the condo. We are all chatting away whilst waiting for the BIG moment. Then, she appeared from the lift. Let's call her "Sister" to remain anonymous.


She walked gingerly towards the pool area. I've been told she had fasted for the past 24 hours. I was like "How can one go even 4 hours without food? =p". We started off with a round of sharing from everyone. One by one they all shared a little about her. Then, it's my turn.


I gulped. I gulped again. I was actually nervous. I am rarely nervous. Just last week, I literally blew away a crowd of approximately 200+ people with my smooth emceeing skills. Or so I think. Anyway, I was really nervous for her (or myself?). I shared about how I met her while in university. I shared how I get to know her better through the years and how much she have grown to who she is today. Being a introvert person by nature but, slowly but surely coming out of her cocoon into a beautiful butterfly. Oh wait, I think I didn't say that...


Then, we took a picture together to commemorate the occasion. I held her to my side and I could feel her shaking a little. She's a nervous wreck, I thought.


The time has come. I composed myself. It started with "Sister, are you ready? I have 2 questions for you today...."


She paused for a moment and nodded her head slowly. In what seemed to be like 1 minute procedure felt like an eternity to me as I was not used to this kind of "pressure". I read the procedure prepared earlier from my iPod and managed to pull through swiftly.


Then, we proceed to the poolside where she slowly lowered herself. I was again put in the hot seat in charge of slowly "lowering" her. I duly did as told. I could not help but notice she is trembling quite a bit. Perhaps due to the coldness of the water. Perhaps due to her nervousness. Perhaps a combination of both.


Slowly, I counted to three and lowered her down but she emerged halfway. It's a failed first attempt. All of us there encouraged her again and said she can do this. I whispered something like "Sister, this is easy. Just bend your knees and count to two once you are fully submerged into the water. Relax..." Everyone can tell I was nervous for her as well.The second attempt went underway. I counted to three again. This time, it was successful. I actually counted to four before I let go of my hand just to make sure I fulfill the quota of 2 seconds. =p


It was an amazing feeling. We took a group photograph and proceeded to the mamak nearby where I insisted to pay more than the drinks much to everyone's joy and amazement. It didn't matter to me. Deep inside me, it's truly a joy to witness myself becoming a TREE that very night.

time flies just as fast as a rocket
goodbye, november; hello, december
we're all now entering the last
month of the year 2011 and soon
it will be the time for Christmas



working days has been great with
all the hangouts in office where
i managed to learn quite a few
things from here and there and
the best part of the office is
where everybody is passionate
with their job so it is stress


somehow it is raining heavily outside
the wide office glass window and is
this the gift that God wanted to give
human on the first day of december
where it reminds us to prepare ourselves
no matter what we are leaping through
the next step or even in mere future



hanging out with church's brothers and
sisters has overcome lots of the
unwanted memories of the past where it
really taught me to be more strong and
never give up on whatever that im living
